This is William Morris' poster design for the film "The Maids of Wilko." He uses contrast such as light against dark and cool colors against warm colors to catch our attention.
This picture catches my attention through being abstract and somewhat balanced, almost symmetrical in nature.
This piece uses to the classic blue/orange contrast Hollywood has come to really love recently. While eye-catching it's soothing through its realism and homely atmosphere.
