Joshua Davis

What makes Joshua Davis' artwork so interesting in the way he blends continuity with variety. What makes this piece great with continuity is how he uses mostly curved shapes in the image, the few objects that are straight are angled off. There's almost nothing sitting at a perfect 90 degrees, but what there is creates a focal point for our visual journey to start as the round objects take us across a long, varied journey.

3D Printing and folding project

Here is my new project I did working with folding

1. The color scheme is yellow and purple, it created continuity among the seemingly random images.
2. I created contrast in my design by using the color scheme and textures to make each image unique, but have the color scheme make sure there'd be continuity.
3. I used mostly basic photoshop techniques like selection and layers to create the image.
4. I got the design from a folder full of interesting folding patterns, so I found one I liked and used it.

Me messing with the shape of folds, this one's curved.
